I grew up in a household where art and expressing yourself creatively were prevalent. I could make prints, use watercolors, pastels or colored pencils whenever I had the urge to express myself in color and shape. If I wanted to learn how to quilt, I took a class. If I decided to refinish furniture my mother would guide me through the steps. I learned that nothing was off limits, nothing was too hard or restricted because I was young or female. I have carried that philosophy through adulthood and my creative expression continues through artwork and jewelry design. I love implementing new techniques and materials, and experimenting with color and design.
